TTTech Auto and BMW Group enter long-term partnership to develop autonomous driving software

The premium OEM BMW Group now officially announced that it has selected TTTech Auto alongside Indian IT corporation KPIT as technology partner for developing autonomous driving functions up to level 5.

Teaming up with TTTech Auto, BMW Group aims to drive forward the scalable Autonomous Driving Platform and to work together on the development of Level 3 and Level 4/5 functions (Highway Pilot and Urban Pilot). “Tackling this immense challenge calls for an all-embracing approach,” said Elmar Frickenstein, Senior Vice President Fully Automated Driving and Driver Assistance, BMW AG Munich. “This includes building strong alliances that allow us to gain valuable know-how and also speed things up. In order to achieve our objective in 2021, we are collaborating with the best technology partners in the world.”

TTTech Auto’s automotive experts have successfully developed the safety software platform MotionWise for series production. The engineering team is looking forward to working with BMW and bringing safe automated cars on the road together. For this project, TTTech Auto has established a new office in Munich earlier this year.
