- Unified and simplified automotive communication across all vehicle domains
- Safe, deterministic and predictable communication on vehicle level
- Deployment from powerful high-performance computers (HPCs) to resource-constrained microcontrollers, accelerating the transition to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs)
December 11, 2025, Vienna, Austria - TTTech Auto announces the launch of MotionWise Communication, a new software product designed to unify and simplify automotive communication across all vehicle domains. The middleware is the next modular solution from the MotionWise family and addresses the growing complexity of next-generation vehicle architectures. It enables OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to implement all relevant communication use cases at both ECU and vehicle level with one off-the-shelf product for accelerating the transition to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).
MotionWise Communication is based on modern communication protocols including DDS and Zenoh powered by ZettaScale Technology with whom TTTech Auto has a long-standing collaboration to bring communication solutions from the ground up for scalability, performance and security. The new solution inherits the data-centric approach of our previous Zetta Auto product, and augments its scope by integrating key automotive features, to bring to market a comprehensive communication middleware up to highest safety and security standards.
“The SDV transition requires one foundational capability: safe, secure and deterministic communication across the entire vehicle”, said Stefan Poledna, CEO & CTO TTTech Auto. “TTTech Auto addresses this critical need with the launch of MotionWise Communication”, he added.
Modern vehicle architectures require advanced communication paradigms such as data-centric, service-oriented, and signal-based communication. Traditionally, these paradigms are supported by different solutions, creating integration complexity and cost. MotionWise Communication eliminates this challenge by providing one comprehensive solution that supports all main automotive communication use cases.
A Unified Approach for All Automotive Domains:
MotionWise Communication meets the main communication needs of the evolving automotive industry, including safety-critical and real-time domains, central compute ECUs, ADAS/AD systems, and zonal architectures. It supports deployments ranging from high-performance compute units to resource-constrained microcontrollers, ensuring seamless interoperability across the entire vehicle network.
Key Features and Benefits:
- Single solution reduces integration costs across all communication use cases.
- Supports safety-critical domains: HPCs, zonal ECUs, and microcontrollers across the vehicle network.
- Smooth transition from prototyping to safe deployment on high-performance computers.
- Lower development costs through fast cycles and easy safety integration.
- Quick implementation and iteration leading to deterministic, safety-certified deployment.
- Simplified integration with end-to-end QoS management (latency, reliability).
- Broad protocol support, including Ethernet backbone with TSN integration.
Availability:
The Beta version of the DDS safety-certified stack will be available from end of 2025 onwards. TTTech Auto offers low-entry evaluation licenses for three months, enabling customers to experience the benefits of MotionWise Communication and explore how it fits their specific use cases.
With MotionWise Communication, TTTech Auto reinforces its position as the leading provider of automotive safety and communication middleware, enabling modern communication patterns while guaranteeing interoperability with legacy methods, safety, and security.
