Your Tasks:
- Develop and implement high-performing teams: Provide both disciplinary and professional leadership. Foster a self-organized team culture with strong ownership of commitments and product deliveries.
- Technical guidance and craftsmanship: Support the team in technical decisions and steer them toward effective solution designs. Act as a role model by coaching on best development practices and software craftsmanship. Monitor for signs of code rot and ensure adherence to good coding standards.
- Agile collaboration: Promote a lean/agile mindset within the team. Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master to ensure effective facilitation of team events, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Support the resolution of impediments and help define work packages that implement requested features.
- Feature decomposition and planning: Guide the team in breaking down features and epics—provided by the Feature Owners—into actionable work packages. Ensure these are well-defined, technically sound, and aligned with the overall solution design.
- Engineering delivery: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with scope and stakeholder expectations. Represent the team in feature refinement discussions with the Feature Owners and defend its work from a technical standpoint.
- Governance and team development: Ensure compliance with company and departmental standards. Collaborate with the team to identify skill gaps and suggest relevant training opportunities.Line management: Oversee recruiting, performance management, and individual staff development.
Your Profile:
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering (automotive domain experience is a plus).
- Proven leadership experience in agile development environments.
- Deep understanding of agile methods and practices.
- Broad knowledge of software development methods, processes, and technologies.
- Strong interest and experience in leadership and people management.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Excellent command of English.
